Minimum Wage increased by just 6% – NTC announced

The National Tripartite Committee (NTC) has increased the National Daily Minimum Wage ¢12.53, which is a 6% increment on the 2020 figure of ¢11.82.

This followed conclusion of arrangements on the assurance of the National Daily Minimum Wage in regard of 2021 and 2022 at its meeting held Thursday, June 3 in Accra.

The assurance of the national minimum wage is as per Section 113 (1) (a) of the Labor Act, 2003 (Act 651).

Toward the finish of the meeting, it was additionally presumed that for the year 2022, National Daily Minimum Wage will be fixed at ¢13.53, a 8% increment on the 2021 figure.
