Ghana’s independence day celebration which is observed to commemorate the struggle and toil of our forefathers for freedom. This day is set aside to remember the day Ghana was pronounced a free State from colonialism,6th March.

This day is known to be a public holiday but the global pandemic shattered the dreams Ghanaians have in response to this day. However, despite 6th March 2021 falls on Saturday,His Excellency,The President of the Republic of Ghana by Executive Instrument in accordance with section 2 of the public holiday and commemorative days Act 2001 declared Monday 8th March 2021 as a public holiday and adhering to all protocols to make the day a success
